An Ohio nonprofit. IRS recognition is still pending, so a gift is not tax-deductible yet.
The vision

A free place to learn how industry is drawn.

We train young people and adults in mechanical drafting, piping, and AutoCAD Plant 3D. The workshops are voluntary. There is no tuition, no diploma, and no job guarantee. There is a seat, a drawing, and a volunteer who has done this work for more than 16 years.

Vision

The drawing skill should not be locked behind a paycheck or a tuition bill.

Piping and mechanical drawings decide how a plant is built. Most people meet that work only after they already have a job, a paid course, or a school lab. The vision is a community room where a young person or an adult can start anyway.

Mission

Train young people and adults in the craft.

Mechanical drafting. Piping and P&IDs. AutoCAD Plant 3D. Free, voluntary workshops, taught by a volunteer instructor. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian’s written permission. The foundation is not a school and does not award a diploma, a certification, or a job.

The work

Three skills a donor puts in someone’s hands.

A gift does not buy a certificate. It buys the hours: a machine to draw on, software to practice in, and a room where the teaching stays free.

01

Mechanical drafting

Lines, views, scales, and standards. The first win is a drawing a stranger can read.

02

Piping

The parts of a line, and the diagram that tells a builder what that line is for.

03

AutoCAD Plant 3D

From a blank project to a small piping model and the drawings that explain it.

Donors keep this training free.

There is no set number of computers and no minimum gift. One used laptop, a monitor, a software seat, or a cash gift of any amount does the same thing: it lets the next person sit down and learn. Tax deductibility starts only after the IRS determination letter.

  • A machine. Any CAD-capable computer, new or retired, one or several.
  • The desk around it. Monitors, memory, drives, chairs, and cables.
  • The next session. A cash gift pays for licenses, upkeep, and materials.
  • A public thanks. Companies and people are named only when they agree.
Space partner

Thank you, Lagoinha Church.

Lagoinha Church opened its classroom so these workshops have a home. The foundation teaches. Lagoinha Church hosts the room. That gift of space is what lets young people and adults sit down and learn.

The room is where the vision starts.

Without a place to gather, the software and the teaching have nowhere to land. Lagoinha Church’s welcome makes the program possible. The foundation remains its own organization, separate from Samtech3D LLC and from the church.
